He's 10!

Our Mother's Day!

Ouch!

Zander smashed him finger today in Primary class.  He was leaning back on the chair and it folded up.... with his finger inside.

We put a bandaid on his finger and the blood soaked through.  So we put another bandaid on it.  Again, that one soaked through.  Three hours later, and three bandaid's later we were finally able to let the wound heal.  Poor guy!

Grandma and Grandpa came over!  It's always hard to find something fun that Grandma wants.  So this year we got her a bunch of stuff to make cupcakes.  

I am one lucky Mom!  Looks at these handsome children I have!  I love celebrating the chance I get to be Mom to these 4 little people.  They all really made my day!  

We had Brooke and her family over as well.  We all ate some delicious dinner that Niel made.  He is just a fabulous cook!  We did all the clean up before and after as well.... oh, and he got me Norah Jones concert tickets.... I know, I am lucky!

Moms and Muffins

Zander invited me to Mom's and Muffin's at school!  It was awesome!

All the 2nd graders put on a little performance... CUTE!  

After the sweet songs we went into the class room and played some games and ate some muffin's.  YUM!

Zander made me several gifts.  Check out the cute flower made with paper.

This is Zander's awesome teacher, Mrs. Lowry.  She is just tons of fun!

Zander had a speaking part in the program.  He was the very first speaker and I am so sad because I was 2 minutes late.  I MISSED IT!

One moment in my life I will never get back.  I am disappointed to say the least.  He was so kind to do it for just me after the program was over.

Fat and Happy!

He's fat and happy.... but extremely overweight. 

We went to the vet today and she had some sad news for us.... Rocky is 1 pound away from being morbidly obese.  

... at least he is happy!  Starting tomorrow he is on a strict diet!

The Streak is Over!

I have prided myself on having 4, very active, very sporty boys who have NEVER had a broken bone or even stitches.  

Guess what?  The streak has ended.....

Conner broke his pinky finger!

Yeah... it's all over and all for a little, teeny-tiny pinky finger!  I guess we will take it!

He caught the football a little strange and fractured the bone.

I honestly didn't think it was broken and made him ride his bike to his friends and even sent him to school the next day.  It was swollen some, but Conner wasn't complaining about it being painful.  The school told him to get it checked out, so we did.

The doctor said he should be all set and ready to start playing football in a couple of weeks.  He just has to wear a little splint.  He was all smiles!

Just Stuff

So this was like the best thing I have done with Niel yet this year.... although Washing DC comes in as a pretty close second.  Niel and I took a day off from work and just did whatever I wanted to do.  We went to a movie, out to lunch at Salt Cit Burger, and then we went and got pedicures!!  It was a great day!

Garrett has a new favorite recipe!  Grandma J always makes the best Swedish Meatballs, and Garrett just loves them.  So, before Grandma left on her mission, she taught Garrett how to make them.  Guess what?  Garrett made these all by himself!  It's a family favorite!  Thanks Grandma... and thanks G-man!

Conner and a bunch of friends in the area put together, "The Cedar Hills 1st Annual Hunger Games!"  See those packs on his back?  Those were the packs that kids had to run after in the arena.  He had a blast!  They played all day long.  

Zander is officially a scout!  He is super excited!  Garrett is now a Webelo!  The boys are growing up so fast! 

This is typical in our house.... boys doing silly things.  They were entertained for over an hour making different "hats" with their T-shirts!

This is what Stockton has been up to.  It's the end of the school year and Stocks had a whole list of books he was suppose to read by the end of the year.  Stockton has been reading all year, but all books he wanted to read.  Good thing Stockton likes to read so much.  He read for 5 days straight, morning, evening, and right before bed.  Guess what?  He almost made it!  I think he was just 2 books shy.  I wish I could read an entire years worth of reading in just 5 days.  Only Stockton can make stuff like that happen!  :)

She's 15!

Yes... you read that correctly.... Megan is officially 15!

She picked Zuppas for dinner!  Delicious!!

This about says it all for Gman!

 Breakfast in bed is extra awesome for Garrett because he loves burrito's.  He picked a breakfast burrito's for his breakfast of choice in bed!

Garrett got a new bike for his birthday!  Woo-hoo! 

Since he got a new bike, we decided to ride bikes all the way down to Macey's and get ice cream and donuts for dinner!  YUM!  The boys did great on the bike ride!!

Running and Catching

Conner has been keeping busy as usual.  He was asked to participate on a 7 on 7 passing football team.  The team was all 8th graders, but they were playing Freshman and Sophomores.  His team did fantastic... it was incredible.  Even the games they lost he only lost by one touch down.  Conner played great!  He even caught a couple balls.  It was super fun!

Conner did great at track again this year.  He qualified for Alpine days in all his events.  

He even qualified for the 400, which he only ran once.  He placed 8th at Alpine Days in that event.  It was a great track year!

Zanders Baptism

What a great day it was!  Niel Baptized him and Grandpa Dean confirmed him

Three other boys from our ward were also baptized.  Tanner Horton, Kristian Miner, & Thomas Lines.

Bishop Badger was presiding... who Zander just loves because he is always giving him candy.

Uncle Patrick said the opening prayer.  Megan, Conner, Stockton, Garrett, and Zander himself sang "Choose the Right" along with the other siblings of those who were baptized.  I accompanied them!

Uncle Patrick and Grandpa Dean were witnesses.... and yes, he was washing cleaned in one attempt.

Bishop Badger, Grandpa Dean, Niel, Uncle Patrick, and Brother Vermasson (Zander's primary teacher) all stood in the circle when he was confirmed.

It was a perfect, beautiful day.... a little chilly outside, but incredible.  It was so incredible in fact that Zander fell asleep on the drive home!
